About us

The European Union and Spanish Cooperation project "Women, Coffee and Climate: Women's empowerment for the socio-ecological resilience of the coffee value chain against climate change in Ethiopia'' aims to improve gender equality and sustainability in the Ethiopian coffee sector through eco-efficiency, social innovation and South-South cooperation.

It also looks to draw upon accumulated experience and knowledge from exchange within Colombia, Honduras and Ethiopia, and to ultimately strengthen the capacities of Ethiopian partner institutions. The Spanish Cooperation has been supporting these efforts in both countries for years, facilitating the generation and management of knowledge in the sector. With subsequent international exchange visits planned to take place in other countries, the first, second and third International Exchange visit had taken place in Colombia, Ethiopia and Honduras, respectively.
