DeSIRA LIFT Training for Innovation Facilitators

1. Training Overview:

The DeSIRA LIFT Training on Innovation Facilitators Workshop took place from May 20 to May 24, 2024, at the Azzeman Hotel in Addis Ababa. Organized by HRNS, AECID Ethiopia, and DESIRA LIFT, the workshop was led by trainers Priscila Henriquez and Ola Dolinska. The event began with opening remarks from Mr. Bekele Haile of HRNS for the EU-Yayu Desira project, Mrs. Aurora Martin of the Spanish Cooperation Office in Ethiopia for the Women, Coffee, and Climate project, and Mr. Mersha Argaw from the EU delegation. This was followed by a brief introduction to DeSIRA-LIFT services by the trainers, Priscila Henriquez and Ola Dolinska, setting the stage for the comprehensive training sessions. Seventeen participants from Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Malawi, all engaged in various project activities under the EU DESIRA program in East Africa, attended the workshop. The primary objective was to equip these participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate innovation within their projects, thereby enhancing their effectiveness and impact as innovation facilitators.
