South-South Cooperation and Alliances
In order to overcome problems pertaining to adaptation, commercialization, business models, and market penetration in coffee growing, there is a need to promote co-learning opportunities that help build joint strategies for coffee producers and understand the international coffee market. Both Colombia and Honduras are among the most important coffee producers in the world. They have been working along the coffee value chain for many years and have accumulated important lessons and recommendations that can be shared with other countries, both in the social aspect of the coffee value chain (such as gender and poverty reduction), as well as in management and marketing, climate change and the landscape management dimension.
